Hair Tip for the Week:

If a client is suffering from excessive dandruff for a long period of time it may lead to baldness. Here are some healthy tips:
1.) Clean the scalp with antiseptic ( sea breeze)
2.) Frequent scalp treatments and use of a mild shampoo (anti itch shampoo)
3.) Regular scalp massage
4.) Grease the scalp lightly
This will help the scalp stay healthy!

Hair Question for the Week:

I have a real big problem with dry, split ends. Sometimes my hair is so brittle! How can I keep my hair healthier and avoid the breakage? - Alisha, Dallas

Hair Answer from the stylist:

I recommend to get your split ends (no more than 1/4-1/2 inch) trimmed every 6-8 weeks or with your relaxer. This will keep your hair from splitting all the way to the root. You need to do a moisture treatment on your head at least once per month as well. Also, you want to make sure you drink PLENTY (10-12 glasses) of water, daily. I know we are in Texas where it is REAL HUMID which can be harmful to our hair!! But using these tips, you should see a positive change in about 60-90 days.
